-
Want to know if physical therapy is for you? Go to my contact page and send me an e-mail to ask about your current presentation and if we would be a good fit.
Do you need a referral?
-
No you do not need a referral to access physical therapy. You can directly access physical therapy through my online booking page.
-
Physical therapists are trained in assessing the musculoskeletal system and are a great first contact after an injury, or if you are having aches and pains in the body. If you are needing care beyond physical therapy, a physical therapist will be able to direct you to the most appropriate healthcare profession if need be.
What does a session look like?
-
First session is a thorough assessment. I ask a lot of questions and assess many things to find an accurate starting point for your treatment.
-
Within the first assessment, and follow up appointments, I utilized hands on therapies (massage like techniques, cupping, taping and hands on stretching) to help aid in the recovery of your injury.
-
I also have extensive knowledge on exercise rehab to maintain these gains and target exercises that are most appropriate for your presentation. Exercises are always tailored to you, your needs and wants.
Do we direct bill?
-
Yes, direct billing is available. Make sure to bring your insurance info to your appointment, or update it on the intake form.
Do I work with WCB claims?
-
I do not work with WCB claims but can refer you to a suitable clinic to fit your needs.
Do I work with motor vehicle accidents?
-
Yes I work with motor vehicle accidents (MVA).
-
Book an initial assessment for your appointment time, but when asked to include information on the intake form, be sure to specify that this is an MVA. Additional paper work will be needed from you when you arrive for your appointment.
